This intensive 6-session workshop series is designed to equip therapists with the tools and strategies needed to effectively implement ACT Enhanced Exposure and Response Prevention therapy in a culturally sensitive manner. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how to effectively implement ACT Enhanced  ERP and develop tailored exposure exercises that align with clients' values and cultural backgrounds.

Learning Objectives:

    and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Explain the key components of ACT-Enhanced ERP

  • Discuss the importance of culturally sensitive exposure

  • Describe ways to (or components of) how to apply social justice principles to ERP practice

  • Explain the importance of pre-exposure planning

  • Apply Inhibitory Learning Theory (ILT) principles to exposure therapy

Time: All dates held from 8:00am - 9:30am (Pacific), 11:00pm - 12:30pm (Eastern)

Cost: $450 (Includes 6 workshop sessions (9 optional CE’s) Sliding Scale Available
Optional CE’s: $45 fee. Attendees must attend all 6 beginnings sessions in their entirety in order to receive CE credits AND CEs are awarded contingent on timely post-event evaluation submission by event organizers.
CE INFORMATION: 9 CEs for California licensed Psychologists, MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and LCSWs per session.

Facilitators:

Marisa T. Mazza, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist, supervisor, and founder of choicetherapy, a renowned group practice specializing in evidence-based treatments for OCD and Anxiety. Passionate about guiding individuals beyond their fears, she facilitates empowering workshops and provides consultation to therapists seeking genuine connections with clients. Dr. Mazza's expertise is widely recognized, as she serves as faculty at the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute of the International OCD Foundation. Her book, "The ACT Workbook for OCD," published by New Harbinger, showcases her exceptional knowledge and insights on mindfulness, acceptance, and exposure skills for living well with OCD.

Shauna Pichette, LPC, NCC, is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor in CA, OR, and WI. She is the Clinical Lead for Anxiety Disorders at NOCD where she provides specialized training and consultation to therapists in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is also a faculty member for the IOCDF Training Institute and owner of a private practice.  Shauna started her journey with treating OCD and related disorders in residential care. Since then, Shauna has continued with a focus on OCD, OC-Related Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Depressive Disorders at the outpatient level, inpatient, community mental health, and residential levels. She has also presented at multiple conferences and participated in podcasts regarding treatment for OCD & related disorders.
