Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?
We do no take insurance. We are an out of network provider which means that the clients we work with pay us at each appointment and receive a superbill the 1st week of the new month. The information on this superbill can be used to try and seek out reimbursement. You would need to check with your insurance company about if and how much they would reimburse you for seeing an out of network OCD/Anxiety specialist.

How much will it cost?
Our fees are dependent on the clinician's expertise, individual versus group therapy and your budget. They range between $50 - $360.

What do you specialize in?
We specialize in helping people with OCD or Anxiety using evidence based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

What services do you offer?
Our individual therapy program is geared toward helping people with mild to moderate OCD or Anxiety and includes meeting with your therapist anywhere from one to two times a week (based on severity and availability). Our intensive therapy program is aimed at helping people with moderate to severe OCD or Anxiety and includes four 90 minute meetings a week (based on severity and availability) and an optional support group. An ideal candidate for our intensive therapy program is someone with OCD or Anxiety and is awaiting an IOP opening or is unable to do an IOP program at this time. We also offer IOP services (based on availability).

Can you provide therapy to residents outside of California?
Right now we only provide therapy to residents of CA and OR. We will soon be expanding to FL. Our support groups are open to residents outside of CA. For more information, email info@choicetherapy.net .

How long will I be in therapy for?
This is dependent on a few factors that will be reviewed during your initial assessment. These factors can include the severity of your symptoms, how often you meet with your therapist, completion of HW outside of session and unexpected life stressors that may arise through the course of treatment. Many clients with mild OCD or Anxiety notice changes in the first 6-8 sessions.
